Florida Dive In Day

Each year DEMA sponsors "Dive in Day" at the Florida Capitol giving Members the opportunity to visit the Capitol, showcase their diving-related products and services, as well as promote issues that are important to the scuba diving industry.

This year's Dive in Day at the Capitol will be Tuesday, April 25th, 2017 from 9 AM- 4 PM.

Florida's 160 legislators; the Governor and his staff; and hundreds of Florida visitors will be at the Capitol during the day. DEMA has reserved the first floor and the third floor of the Capitol to give Florida dive businesses an opportunity to showcase Florida's recreational diving businesses. A mobile aquarium from the Gulf Specimen Lab will be on display to demonstrate the perils caused by the number of lionfish invading our Florida waters. We will also be setting aside time for Members to meet with their state Senator or Representative.

DEMA will distribute information to these Legislators and visitors that includes the size of the diving industry in Florida and its importance to jobs, tourism and the economy, with a focus on lionfish awareness.

We look forward to this year's Dive in Day and hope to see you there!
